As promised more than two months ago, the red bike now has a permanent home in the storage closet in my garage. I spent two days cleaning and getting rid of "stuff" and the bike fits perfectly. I feel it is much safer there. Will get a lock for the door tomorrow.
To celebrate this momentous achievement, I rode the red bike around the neighborhood. Will not complain about the weather, but it is voggy and windy--not up to our usual standards. That should change soon.
My name is Marilyn B. Lee. I am mother of four and grandmother of three, who has lived in Mililani, Hawaii for the past 30 years.
I have always been a supporter of bicycling, but have not been actively riding for the past several years. As a registered nurse and an elected official, I am very interested in pedestrian and bicycle safety, decreasing traffic congestion in our neighborhoods, and encouraging both children and seniors to be physically fit.
I have lived abroad in Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines, and in recent years made several trips to Asia and Europe. I have observed bicycling to be a way of life for people of all ages and look forward to blogging about my experiences.
